With the success of last seasons approach of suiting up as opposed to throwing on some shin guards, Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière seems to be happily sticking with the route in his latest collection. Sleek, streamlined silhouettes, and that lovely subtle color blocking dominated. The meticulous attention to detail is impeccable in this collection fueled heavily by outerwear and a nice tailored fit. Superb!

Well well well! Paris fashion week attendees had to stand to view Balenciaga’s boxy silk jackets in sci-fi inspired designs, after benches were removed after some editors hit the floor from them collapsing! Either way, designer Nicolas Ghesquière delivered clothes that were some of the most approachable and wearable the designer has ever created created. It’s always fun to see shapes, silk, and color! A+!

This is the second gif based editorial for the two photographers after their last one for SSENCE, but the idea is still fresh and innovative. The amazing styling by Jessica Bobince includes some key pieces from the most fashionable Spring/Summer11 Collections, focusing on the colour block and vibrant prints trends. Animalier, optical, cartoon, geometric or floral the main point of the next season is to be patterned and fancy.
