You Have To Watch This! Janelle Monae once again brings us a unique video that she filmed in ONE TAKE. Watch the whole way through because Janelle’s emotions end up getting the best of her while filming (around 1:38). Check out what she had to say about what happened while filming:

I remember crying during ‘Cold War’ [on the] first take. I didn’t know how that happened but it just did. I was very moved by that. It was really a special moment; then everybody else started to cry.

Very rarely does an artist have the power to do what she is doing. This is the most simple music video I’ve ever seen yet so effective. It’s heartbreaking. It’s Raw. It’s human. So often in today’s setting, we see extravagant multi-million dollar videos, yet this was shot in just one take and had a much deeper inpact on me than any video has ever. I haven’t the appropriate words to describe how her raw emotion affected me in this video. All I can say is that it cut me to the core and left me thinking. I almost cried. Make sure to focus on the lyrics as well.
