We recently posted about the printed pump in this amazing collaboration, and now the wedge is available. Nicholas Kirwkood created this special collection inspired by 80s pop artist Keith Haring. This wedge features Keith Haring printed leather, almond toe and a dark pink triangular insert at the heel. Check out a fun video on the collection over at Nowness.

In 1984 the legendary Keith Haring traveled Down Under and painted a mural in Collingwood as a gift to the city of Melbourne. One of the few untouched Keith Haring murals in the world is under threat, this important piece has been largely neglected and is quickly deteriorating. If something is not done soon it will disappear.
Luckily, there is a project in the works to resurrect a very important piece of history for both Melbourne and Street Culture globally. Simply sign this petition at Save Melbourne’s Keith Haring Mural to do your part.

We are beyond excited for this collaboration! In true Haring style, the range is colorful, especially for UE standards. It consists of a tote bag, necklace, bow tie, scarves and ties. The late Keith Haring’s first exhibition with the NY showspace features never before seen works on paper.
Interestingly enough, three of the large scale pieces included were created in conjunction with a series of Bill T. Jones performances held in 1982 at The Kitchen, which were executed in real time (in true Keith Haring style) during Jones’ dances with the sound of the brushstrokes serving as the only thing the audience heard. Designer Nicholas Kirkwood has unveiled his much-anticipated collaboration with 80s pop artist Keith Haring (one of WeTheUrban’s favorite artists to ever live!) at his new Mount Street store.
NOWNESS has also jumped on the collaboration, producing a Swarovski-sponsored film (above) that explains how the collaboration came about and what fascinates Kirkwood with Haring. Everything about this collaboration screams “YES!” Take a look at the shoes below:
