GIVENCHY MEN’S RESORT 2013 PREVIEW

Thank G-D for Tisci! The perfect mixture of prep, punk, and extremely well cut garments make up Givenchy’s Men’s resort 2012 collection. It’s not an easy thing to drive one of the most notable high fashion brands in the world mostly on graphic prints, but that man does it (and very well)! The rest of the line releases early next year - can’t wait to see more of this perfection!

PRADA x FINAL FANTASY

Wait, what? The images above appear in the latest issue of Arena Homme+ as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Final Fantasy series. FF13-2 characters Lightning, Noel, Snow, Sazh and Hope are all wearing Prada gear.

They were created by Square Enix’s Visual Works studio in Japan, working alongside the Final Fantasy character designers. The magazine page feature includes “key looks” from Prada’s S/S12 men’s collection, “regarded by many as one the best of the season, with key pieces including printed silk shirts and sharp modern suiting”.

Perhaps the most bizarre video game/real life cross-over we’ve ever seen. Very nice!

TOPMAN AAA SPRING/SUMMER 2012

So good! The TOPMAN AAA Camden ’78 collection takes its cues and vicious cuts from Sid Vicious (who you might remember from The Sex Pistols) and features the requisite leather jackets, black as tar/heroin skinny jeans, marled t-shirts and plaid shirts that scream high street grunge. The absolute perfect mix of luxury and casual. Menswear is really having its moment! Look for the collection to become available at TOPMAN stores around the world.

COMMON FALL/WINTER 2012

Saif Bakir and design partner Emma Hedlund of Common present us today (in collaboration with Hemma Magazine), with their Fall 2012 lookbook. The Swedish duo worked for Wooyoungmi and Kanye West in Paris before moving back to Malmö to start Common last year. Bakir describes Common as a mixture of “London edge, Paris chic and Scandinavian minimalism”. Sums it up pretty well! Dying for that multi-colored bird print bomber!
