DSQUARED2 FALL/WINTER 2012.13

DSquared2 made Supermodel Lindsey Wixon Prom Queen today in it’s funky and fun Fall 2012 runway show today in Milan. Designers Dan and Dean Caten provided an amazing 60s-esque collection pumped with glam cropped pants, button downs, outerwear, crocodile skin jackets, mohair sweaters, and cigarettes. So fab!

JIL SANDER FALL/WINTER 2012.13

What an emotional day in fashion as Raf Simons, who has been Creative Director of the brand since ‘05, presents his final collection. Jil Sander herself founded the label in 1968 and is said to be returning back to it while rumors of Simons taking over Dior and even YSL are being tossed around. Simons’ last collection at Jil Sander fit the mood of the occasion - a vast array of soft pastels and extremely minimalist silhouettes. WWD said it best: “strong, but delicate”. 

PRADA FALL/WINTER 2012.13

Pale models with dark eyes, orange eyebrows, and two-tone colored hair graced a larger than life purple carpet today in Milan at the oh-so-luxe Prada Fall ‘12 runway show. “Everyone has a theory about their collections these days, but I’m sick of theory. This collection is about the pleasure of fashion.” said Miuccia Prada about the theme of the collection. Quite possibly our favorite quote of all of fashion week! 

We see a bit of 70s influence in the collection with it’s head-to-toe geometric print (almost reminiscent of 70s wallpaper,no?), crop tops, above-the-waist buckle and fitted jackets, and even some hits of orange. All of that aside, the embellishments were the strongest accent in the collection. Beautiful touches on sleeves, outerwear, and even those to-die structured bags. Prada can just do no wrong! 

GUCCI FALL/WINTER 2012.13

Gucci’s Fall 2012 can pretty much be summed up in one word: yes. A sexy array of velvety textures, purple and black hues, floral maxi skirts, and sheer gowns. All Oscar red carpet worthy! Check out footage of the full show (above)!

FRANKIE MORELLO FALL/WINTER 2012.13

This Fall 2012 menswear season is really turning it out! Frankie Morello’s flamboyant collection is no exception to this. It was filled with studs, both in choice of models and on the clothing — starting off with a beautifully studded blazer on model Jacob Coupe and soon transitioning into an Indian inspired wardrobe filled with draped silks, prints, and fringe. In-between, there were well cut suits in loud prints and colors, some paired with studded accessories. A+
