Since he left the house of Mugler and became Art Director at Diesel, talented designer/mogul/WeTheUrban cover star Nicola Formichetti has been preparing cool ideas and new projects for everyone’s favorite denim brand.
Some time ago, we saw the first creative project titled #dieselreboot creatively done through Tumblr and today we can get a taste of his new (and very limited) Diesel Tribute collection campaign, shot entirely with an iPhone.
FASHION: JOGG Jeans by Diesel
WeTheUrban cover star and artistic director for iconic Italian fashion label DIESEL, Nicola Formichetti, describes their new hybrid Jogg Jeans as a “crossbreed between jeans and activewear”. We dig it. These aren’t just your typical skinnies with added lycra, jeans actually designed to run, leap, jump and dance.
DIESEL also injected some serious cool into the Jogg Jeans campaign by pairing up Azealia Banks with street dancers and (incredibly flexible) breakdancers. Peep the video after the jump:
#FASHION: NICOLA FORMICHETTI NAMED NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR @ DIESEL
After officially completing his time at Mugler just a few days ago, WeTheUrban cover boy, designer, stylist and fashion editor Nicola Formichetti has been appointed by Renzo Rosso (OTB Group CEO) as the first Artistic Director of DIESEL *sequels with excitement*!
Nicola will now be in charge of product and communication mainline Diesel, like Diesel Black Gold and even in the interior line of the brand. Closer look after the jump:
