New York Fashion Week is in its fourth day and here is a little something to remind us where it all began. “The Tents” is an interesting documentary directed by James Belzer and Marcus Jones cataloguing the birth of Fashion Week and its expansion using intimatie interviews with industry leaders such as Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, Betsey Johnson, Nina Garcia, Carolina Herrera, and more. It was such an honor to have second row seats at the Project Runway finale taping (which airs tonight on Lifetime) during Spring 2012 New York Fashion Week! Fashion bloggers Girl With Curves, Karla Powell MUA, and myself sat right behind Betsey Johnson and singer Corrine Bailey Rae (photographed above). Breakfast / Tour of the Maire Claire Office
Saying that having breakfast with Nina Garcia/Joanna Coles while having the opportunity of getting a private tour of the Marie Claire office is amazing is a complete understatement. (but no, really. It was awesome!)
Aside from being completely fun to talk to, Joanna runs a tight ship and keeps things very organized. The building we were in also is home to 17 Magazine and is considered one of the most eco-friendly buildings in all on NYC! Check out photos from the tour and the breakfast after the click:
