#FASHION: ALEXANDER MCQUEEN PRE-FALL 2013

Sarah Burton does it again this pre-fall season for Alexander McQueen. Short velvet dresses with laser-cut details called to mind medieval tunics, and generously cut capes with draped pendants were clearly inspired by the church, while high-necked dresses (with and without sleeves) added to the effortless beauty of the collection. With a strict palette of red, black, and white, Burton still managed to keep the looks rooted firmly in the 21st century. See more of the collection after the jump:

#FASHION: ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FALL/WINTER 2013

Alexander McQueen held its menswear show in London for the first time on Tuesday evening. Models with severely slicked hair (with some donning clear face masks) walked through a series of adjoining rooms with dilapidated ceilings sporting a collection heavily defined with elongated tailoring, block coloring and kaleidoscope prints. A+ for Sarah Burton, once again!

HERMOINE DE PAULA SPRING/SUMMER 2012

The Hermione de Paula Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a floral dream. Entitled “Jade’s Magicopolis”, the collection has a bit of a tomboy-ish feel with biker jackets, baseball caps, trousers, and tank tops making up the majority of the line (which is still elegant and flowing even with the collections masculine touches).

Hermoine de Paula has also paid her dues in the industry first working under McQueen, Christian Dior Couture, Galiano, amongst others before perusing her own line. Perfect for the warmer seasons, the Hermione de Paula SS13 collection is made for hipsters and ladies alike.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FALL/WINTER 2012.13

Absolutely stunning! Alexander McQueen designer, Sarah Burton, presents a beautiful futuristic and romantic collection that could easily be seen gracing a Metropolitan Museum retrospective sometime in the future.

There is something so unbelievably beautiful about these garments, their short, puffed volumes intricately textured with fur, feather and flowers, and elegant bursts of pastel orange and red and pink. Hands down the best creative mind in contemporary fashion this season. A++! Peep the collection in motion (above)!

ALEXANDER MQUEEN FALL/WINTER 2012.13

Oh, yes! Designer Sarah Burton tapped into the Victorian age as inspiration for McQueen’s Fall menswear collection. (She’s clearly filling up the huge shoes the great McQueen himself left behind for her). This collection truly has everything; velvet tuxedo jackets, double breasted suits, plaid, tartan and some slick flower prints. Digging it? Yes.
