“It’s not Facebook… but it’s like Facebook”. Google has finally unveiled Google+, the company’s top secret social layer that turns all of Google into one giant social network. Google+, which begins rolling out a very limited field test on Tuesday, is the culmination of a year-long project led by Google Senior Vice President of Social Vic Gundotra. The project, which has been delayed several times, is — without doubt — Google’s answer to Facebook. Check out the clip above

Google is hosting an event called “High Tech Fuses with High Fashion.” The details are few, but it sounds like something’s up. Google hasn’t voiced their intentions yet. The Web giant entering the fashion industry is a scary thought for retailers. (Google tends to, um, dominate anything it touches.)
On Wednesday, Google will be making it’s move into the fashion world by launching a new e-commerce site.
According to insiders, Boutiques.com is said to feature “virtual boutiques” that will make online shopping easier by telling the shopper where they can purchase it online.
Google has already landed Sarah Jessica Parker as their first A-lister to set up her own shop. They’ve also invited Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley, Marchesa and Isaac Mizrahi to hop on the boutiques.com bandwagon, but none have been confirmed.
