#NYFW: JASON WU FALL/WINTER 2013
Jason Wu’s Fall 2013 collection was, in a nutshell, sexy, sophisticated, and a little subversive. Illusion striped sweaters, black twill and velvet coats with peplum details, short coat dresses with exaggerated shoulders, with mixed in pops of deep blue, red and orange. Full collection after the jump:

PRABAL GURUNG FOR TARGET
Is this real life?! After some exciting collaborations with designers from Missoni to Jason Wu, Target stays on trend by enlisting designer Prabal Gurung for its next major collaboration (and probably its most exciting yet).
Releasing just in time for Valentine’s day, Gurung says in the above video: “One thing I kept coming back to was the idea of love,”. “Whether it’s having it, pining for it, losing it, wanting it.” Man oh man, is this going to be good! Who’s buying?! Check out a sneak peek of the collection after the jump:

DAVID KARP SHOWROOM VISIT: JASON WU RESORT 2013
Yesterday we had the ultimate pleasure of being invited (along with four other Tumblr bloggers) to view Jason Wu’s Resort ‘13 up-close and personal, hosted by Mr. Wu himself. Aside from the gorgeous silhouettes and exquisite fabric/color choice, our favorite part of the line is his play of embellishment detailing.
Wu used Swarovski crystals to construct dazzling bugs amongst other things to include on shoes or around the collar of a shirt (a nice play on wearing jewelry on your clothes instead of finding jewelry to match your garment). Overall one of our favorites of the season! Follow us on Instagram (sn: wetheurban) for more behind the scenes images at the showroom!

JASON WU x KAWS NOW AVAILABLE
Last September during Spring 2012 fashion week, Jason Wu showed his collection of womenswear. As usual, the entire collection was consistent and nothing less than chic quality; but three pieces in particular stood out more than any of the others and that’s because they were examples of his recent collaboration with the prolific KAWS!
The Brooklyn-based artist worked with Wu on a dress, blouse and a pair of shorts. There’s no mistaking his unique cartoonish touch on each garment. These items are now available at colette.

JASON WU FALL/WINTER 2012.13
Y-E-S! Jason Wu put on quite a smokey spectacle today at the runway showcase of his latest Chinese military infused collection. The fabrications Wu used were luxurious and included silks, velvet’s and leathers. Wu stuck with classic, lady-like silhouettes in his mainly black, red, and gold collection and modernized them through intricate details (such as that amazing embroidery). A+! Definitely a favorite so far this NYFW!
