JASON WU FALL/WINTER 2012.13
Y-E-S! Jason Wu put on quite a smokey spectacle today at the runway showcase of his latest Chinese military infused collection. The fabrications Wu used were luxurious and included silks, velvet’s and leathers. Wu stuck with classic, lady-like silhouettes in his mainly black, red, and gold collection and modernized them through intricate details (such as that amazing embroidery). A+! Definitely a favorite so far this NYFW!

FIRST LOOK: JASON WU FOR TARGET
The standard consumer can finally afford Jason Wu! The pieces for Jason Wu’s first mainstream collaboration are slowly tricking out - and so far, so chic! The collection is inspired by French New Wave films and the actress Jean Seberg. “My goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection,” says Wu. “Instead I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own.” Perfection. The collection hits stores February 5th. Stay tuned for more info!
Jason Wu for Target poplin dress, $40, and satchel, $50. Go to target.com.

JASON WU | PRE-FALL 2012
Jason Wu has definitely outdone himself in this ever-so sophisticated Maharaja and Charley Harper illustration inspired Fall 2012 sneak peek. “Combining the two meant a strict silhouette with stately embellishments,” he told ELLE, pulling out a houndstooth sheath adorned with bugle beads, before adding pointedly: “No detail has been spared.” Although you have to wait a bit before any of these pieces are on Wu racks, his impending collaboration with Target this February is surely something to look forward too!

Jason Wu’s latest collection is really speaking to me! “Baroque sportswear” is how Jason Wu sums up his fall 2011 collection, which he showed this afternoon at Center 584 in Chelsea. The runway consisted of fragmented antique mirrors that caused one model to have a slight bobble as she rounded a corner. Check it out:
