NATALIA GRZYBOWSKI’S S/S 2012 “HYBRID” COLLECTION
Natalia Grzybowski‘s latest conceptual Spring/Summer 2012 collection is being described as “part-human, part-botanic” and we can definitely see why. Not since we first saw Mary Katrantzou have we been this moved by an entire collection of clothing. The engineered prints, sculptural silk and quirky feminine designs are opulent and completely wearable (for the standard risk taking fashionista, of course!)
“Each piece is an art form within itself, complementing, without overtly sexualising the female form, using shapes that are simultaneously structured, yet soft, mimicking the form of a flower.” What’s your favorite piece of the collection?

MARY KATRANTZOU FALL/WINTER 2012.13
Mary Katrantzou stuck with her head-to-toe print signature look this season and is surely giving Erdem a run for their money! This collection is very vibrant and conceptual with exquisite details within the garments such as spoons, pencils, and even a typewriter. Where they do that at?!
After the show, Katrantzou said: “It was about showing product placement through different colors. I chose the items per colour: it was important to me to associate colors with one everyday, mundane item.” Absolutely brilliant.
