The stars came out for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena May 22, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Some wore pants, some wore suits, some wore dresses, but everyone looked amazing. Selena Gomez filled out her extremely sexy dress, which showed off her waist. Ke$ha got dolled up and looked extravagant. Nicki sported a baby blue studded halfway see-through body suit! Lady Gaga may be the one bowing under the most VMA nominations in history, but Eminem’s the one who’s angry. The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards nominees have been officially announced with Gaga leading with 13 nods — the most in VMAs history — and Eminem following close behind with eight nominations. Wouldn’t that be a trip if Gaga won ALL 13?
“Apparently, MTV doesn’t care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMAs. F me, right?!?!” Eminem said in a statement. “I mean, I’ll be there, but don’t expect me to be nice about it.” You ungrateful ass!
Meanwhile, Gaga was a little more gracious about her record number of nods, tweeting to fans: “13 VMA noms lilmonsters. Breakin records+breakin rüles. I love you, you Bad Kids are a part of me. PAWS UP!#VideoMonsterAwards”
Other big name nominees include Katy Perry, who is up for Best Female Video, alongside Gaga, for “California Gurls.” Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” and Taylor Swift’s “Fifteen” are also in the running for the award.

- On working things out through writing: ”Everyone in my life knows whenever something happens, the only way it’s going to be over and finished and put to bed is if it’s written about.”
- On being a planner: ”I think about my next move 10 steps ahead. I’m always planning three awards shows ahead. For me, planning is a productive way of stressing out about your life.”
- On being a born singer: ”I have been singing randomly, obsessively, obnoxiously for as long as I can remember… My parents have videos of me on the beach at, like, 3 going up to people and singing Lion King songs for them. I was literally going from towel to towel, saying, ‘Hi, I’m Taylor. I’m going to sing “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” for you now.’”
